The Virtual Energy Forum is looking for an individual to assist in recruiting speakers for upcoming Virtual Energy Forum events.  The individual will identify and communicate with leading energy executives from the world’s largest companies, and coordinate speaking logistics – whether that presentation is taking place from a studio or webcam – for the event.  Knowledge and interest in the areas of clean energy, renewable, energy management and/or sustainability are required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field acceptable
  • A minimum of 2-4 years experience in business, sales or marketing roles within the clean energy space.  Event production experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal skills (especially over the phone) are a must.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Detail orientation and the ability to work with high profile executives critical.
  • A network of speakers and/or companies in the clean energy space is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of online media – streaming media, social networking -- is helpful.

 

Job  Responsibilities

  • Identify potential speakers for various Virtual Energy Forum events and programs, based on timely themes and relevant topics in the energy management and clean energy space.
  • Develop names, addresses and contacts for speakers
  • Compose and send out email and postal mail invitations to speakers.
  • Follow up with speakers to explain the event and logistics of participation.
  • Schedule days and times of speaking sessions, as well as prep calls prior to the event.
  • Meet key deadlines of speaker recruitment, necessary for marketing of the event.
  • Prepare speakers so that they give the best presentations, appropriate for the executive audience.
  • Develop strong relationships with organizations that may partner or provide speakers for Virtual Energy Forum events.  Cultivate those relationships to improve Virtual Energy Forum content offerings.
  • Actively work with marketing, sales and the management team to define new opportunities for content programming for Virtual Energy Forum events.
